Event Information

What is the LCRIG Innovation & Learning Festival?

The LCRIG Innovation & Learning Festival is an event where products, solutions, new innovations and techniques are displayed and demonstrated over a range of live demonstration sessions.

The festival provides local authorities with a chance to find out about new innovations from the supply chain that will help to meet their current and future challenges.

The theme for 2023 centered around ‘Showcasing emerging technology and maintenance solutions’ and included a Transport Technology Forum (TTF) Innovation Zone and live test track area.

OUR CONFERENCE

Our morning seminar programme features a range of interactive panel debates and presentations, updates from the DfT and includes a variety of speakers from across public and private sector.

OUR EXHIBITION

We offer a range of sponsorship packages as well as indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces to suit all budgets. LCRIG members also receive a discounted rate.

LCRIG Innovation Festival 2023 featured more than 80 exhibitors showcasing their products and services.

OUR LIVE DEMONSTRATIONS

Live demonstrations showcase the latest in innovative products and solutions, providing delegates with the opportunity to find out about new innovations and maintenance solutions that will help to meet their current and future challenges and see them in action.

Our Innovation Fund

The festival is linked to the LCRIG Innovation Fund which encourages innovation by providing funding for innovation development and facilitating trials with local authorities looking to trial new products on their networks.

Our Evening Networking event

It wouldn’t be a festival without live music!

Our evening networking features live entertainment, music and street food and is a great opportunity for attendees to network in a relaxed atmosphere.

Facilitating collaboration – it’s what we do

It is important to us to ensure our events are accessible to the whole highways community.

We do this by offering fully funded places for public sector delegates, including accommodation, transport to and from the hotels and food and refreshments. This is funded by revenue generated from sponsorship and exhibitor sales.

And it works. LCRIG Innovation Festival 2023 saw more than 600 delegates attend over the two days, with representation from more than 80 different highway authorities from across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as representation from the Department for Transport (DfT), academia, industry associations, the supply chain and media.

“An extremely informative, well run and enjoyable event” – lan Moore, Highways Asset Manager, Leeds City Council
